Itinerary
TOUR ITINERARY
For the trip to Luxor, you will be picked up from your hotel with an air-conditioned minibus. While driving through the mountains you get a different view of the natural diversity of Egypt.
Once in Luxor, you start with our experienced Egyptologist, who is only available for you with the Valley of the Kings, probably the largest open-air museum in the world. On it goes to Thebes (the name of Luxor in the time of the Pharaohs).
We cross the Nile and get an idea of the fertility of the bank along the Nile as we drive through sugarcane and banana plantations to the first place from our trip. Here, in the Valley of the King, you visit some graves in which one can admire with fascination the still best-preserved murals with the stories to the lifetime of the Pharaonen.
The tombs of King Thutmosis I, the Tomb of Thutmose III, King Tutankhamen, King Ramses VI, King Merenptah and Amenhotep II are among more than 60 tombs.
Everyone has heard of Queen Hatshepsut. Its temple is perched high up in the mountains of the west bank, even lit up from the eastern shore in the evening. Climbing the terraces of the temple at the bottom of the hill gives you an idea of the imposing structure of the temple of the only female pharaoh with over 20 years of rule over Egypt.

On the way back to the eastern shore, it’s still a shortstop to the Memnon colossi who are waiting there for more than 3400 years as a guard there.
Surely you know the famous Karnak temple complex. It will be our next destination of the tour. This huge complex of 3 temples is one of the many amazing projects of ancient Egyptian architecture.
From the beginning of construction to completion, it took several generations. With the Karnak temple, you visit one of the largest religious buildings of antiquity. As well as the Luxor Temple he is located at the east bank of the Nile. Both temples were formerly connected by a long avenue, which today is largely restored by excavations.
