Wadi El Hitan Tour

Itinerary

During your Day Trip to Wadi El Hitan, we will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo by jeep 4×4 to drive to Fayoum. We will stop to visit the pharaonic temple of Qasr el Sagha. Although never completed, its construction is unique in Egypt. It has irregularly shaped blocks that resemble the Inca structures of South America. From here, you will go to the remains of the City of Dima, originally a Greco-Roman town in the heart of the arid desert, where you can enjoy a picnic lunch. After lunch, you will go to the fascinating and remote UNESCO World Heritage site at Wadi El Hitan, or “Whale Valley,” with its abundance of fossilized whale skeletons. Discovered over 100 years ago, it is a site to demonstrate the evolution of the whales from a land to a marine existence. Lunch meal will be during the tour. We will drive back to Cairo with a direct transfer to the hotel.

We offer private tours for a group from 12 persons and over with discounted rate

Payment plan:

25% down payment required to secure the booking and can be done online by Credit card, Visa and Master or bank transfer

75% balance will be required in pick up from your hotel in the tour day and can be paid by credit cards or cash

Booking:

Booking of your trip will be complete and confirmed by your tour designer as soon as we receive the 25% down payment

– Child up to 2 years old free of Charge (except flight excursions)
– Child between 2-5 years old gets 50% Discount
– Child between 6-12 years old gets 35% Discount
– 12 years old and plus pay adult rates considered an adult person
