Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Dec 22 Arrival in Cairo
Upon arrival, our guide will meet you at Cairo International Airport to give you your entry visa. You will then be driven to your hotel to check in. There you have the opportunity to relax and in the evening we can optionally enjoy the spectacular sound and light show in the pyramids.
Day 2: December 23 Giza Sightseeing Tour
After your overnight stay, your second day starts with a relaxing breakfast at the hotel in Cairo, before your private Egyptologist will guide you to Sakkara, the part of the huge necropolis of Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt.
Continue to the oldest burial places, the pharaohs of Egypt. The Step Pyramid of King Djoser, designed by Imhotep, the ancient Egyptian architect, as well as the Teti pyramid and tombs in Saqqara.
From here you can take a drive while you relax, the famous Giza Plateau, the site of one of the greatest monuments in Egypt. Here you can see the largest pyramid, Cheops pyramid, and the middle of Chephren and the smallest of Mykerinos.
You will find time for a commemorative photo with a camel ride in front of the pyramids and then visit the Great Sphinx, with an inclusive visit to the Valley Temple. Afterwards, we offer you the possibility to participate optionally in the visit of the boat, which was used to transport the Pharaoh.
We drive you back to the hotel, where you can have your dinner and spend the rest of the evening relaxing.
Day 3: Dec 24 Cairo City Tour
After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, we begin with the first step from our full-day sightseeing tour of Cairo; The Egyptian Museum. Built in the Neoclassical Style, this building contains a collection of more than 150,000 ancient treasures from the predynastic period, as well as the pharaonic era to the Greco-Roman era in Egypt.
Here you can admire the impressive grave additions, as well as the sarcophagus of the child King Tutankhamen. Optionally, we offer you the opportunity to visit the mummy rooms, where you will learn all about the art of the ancient Egyptians to mummify their deceased.
From here we continue with a tour to Citadel of Saladin, overlooking the city.
Another landmark of Cairo is the Mohammed Ali Alabaster Mosque, which was built in Turkish style, the Blue Mosque, which is very similar in Turkey and worth a visit. Her minaret is visible from every part of Cairo.
The next stop of our route is the Christian heritage in the Coptic part of Cairo; here you can, for example, see the hanging or floating church, which was named after the location.
The Ben Ezra Synagogue, one of the Jewish heirs of Cairo, with a library of documents from 1896, is our last visit at our Cairo sightseeing tour.
We will take you from here to Railway Station of Giza, to enter the train to Luxor. Enjoy your dinner and breakfast while travelling by train.
Day 4: December 25 Nile Cruise – Luxor Sightseeing Tours
Your fourth day starts with the reception by our travels – REP in Luxor, who take you to your luxury ship to spend your Christmas days on board the ship.
Enjoy the Lunch, which we serve on board before we start the guided tour to Karnak and Luxor temples, the famous temples of Luxor. Back to the ship, you have the opportunity to enjoy your afternoon tea on the sundeck.
A full dinner is served on board the ship in Luxor.
Day 5: Dec 26 Nile Cruise Holiday
Enjoy your breakfast, before we take you for a tour on the West Bank of the Nile in Luxor, to visit the famous Valley of the Kings, including visiting three tombs, the Hatshepsut Temple at El Deir El Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon.
Back to the ship, you can enjoy your lunch and afternoon tea while continuing our trip to Edfu.
Once in Edfu, you can relax on board, before we will serve a full dinner; spend the rest of the evening until the overnight on board.
Day 6: Dec 27 Nile Cruise Holiday
After breakfast on board the ship, you will be taken to the temple of Horus in Edfu for a guided tour.
Returned to the ship, the journey continues to Kom Ombo. Meanwhile, we serve lunch on board.
In Kom Ombo we have prepared a tour to the temple of the two gods Sobek and Haroeris. After the sightseeing in Kom Ombo, we continue with a tour to Aswan, take the diner and spend the night on board.
Day 7: Dec 28 Disembarkation – Aswan – Cairo
In the early morning after breakfast; drive to Abu Simbel. After visiting the famous Abu Simbel Temple, head back to Aswan to visit the Aswan Dam, the unfinished obelisk and the majestic Philae Temple.
With a small motorboat, you cross the Nile to visit the Botanical Gardens.
After completing our excursion you will be transferred to the airport of Aswan, from where starts the flight back to Cairo. Arrived in Cairo, we will take you directly to your hotel where you will check in for your overnight stay.
Day 8: Dec 29 Cairo / Flight Home
In the morning, after breakfast at your hotel in Cairo, you will be transferred to Cairo airport for your flight home
