Luxor to Aswan
Itinerary – 7 nights / Dahabiya Sonesta Amirat
Day 1: Saturday Dahabiya Sonesta / Luxor
Embarkation in Luxor: for a relaxing week with sailing on the Nile and a luxuriously appointed Dahabiya. After lunch, excursion to visit the magnificent temple complex of Amon-Ra at Karnak, with its vast hypostyle hall of 137 columns, followed by the imposing 28 the Dynasty Luxor Temple. Overnight moored on the Nile banks of Luxor.
Day 2: Sunday Dahabiya Sonesta / Luxor
At morning we start to visit the West Bank with the first site, the Valley of the Kings, well-known from Howard Carter who discovered in 1922 the tomb of Tutankhamen before we continue with the Valley of the Queens, the famous temple of Habu and at least the two Memnon Colossi.
– Sail on the way to ESNA (noon time) Overnight near ESNA.
Day 3: Monday Dahabiya Sonesta Cruise
Today will be a leisurely day. After breakfast, commence sailing Overnight moored beside a Nile island.
Day 4: Tuesday Dahabiya Sonesta / Edfu
This morning you will sail to Edfu to visit the wonderfully preserved Temple of Edfu. Overnight moored beside a Nile island.
Day 5: Wednesday Dahabiya Sonesta
Today we start sailing to Kom Ombo Overnight moored beside a Nile island.
Day 6: Thursday Dahabiya Sonesta / Kom Ombo
Visit KOM OMBO to see the Ptolemaic temple dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon-headed Horus, the god of the morning sun. Enjoy and relax during sailing to Aswan and moored nearby Aswan Bridge.
Day 7: Friday Dahabiya Sonesta Nile cruise/ Aswan
Today you will visit the Aswan High Dam; the Old Dam followed by the Philae Temple, named by the goddess Isis, a structure which was saved before the flooding of the new dam from the rising waters of Lake Nasser at the time of the High Dam’s construction.
Day 8: Saturday Dahabiya Sonesta / Disembarkation
Breakfast aboard the Dahabiya followed by disembarkation of luxury Nile Cruise

Day 1: Saturday – Dahabiya Sonesta Cruise / Aswan
Embarkation in Aswan: for a relaxing week sailing the Nile on a luxuriously appointed Dahabiya. Overnight, the ship moors on the Nile banks of Aswan
Day 2: Sunday Dahabiya Sonesta / Kom Ombo

We continue sailing to KOM OMBO (noon time) Overnight stay will be onboard nearby KOM OMBO.

We start to sail to Kom Ombo to see the Ptolemaic temple dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon-headed god Horus. We stop for overnight stay beside one Nile Island
Day 4: Tuesday Dahabiya Sonesta Nile cruise
This morning you will sail to Edfu to visit the wonderfully preserved Temple of Edfu. Overnight moored beside an island.
Day 5: Wednesday Dahabiya Sonesta / Esna Today will be a leisurely day.
After breakfast, commence sailing to Esna, and passing the lock, then Dahabiya will moor beside a Nile island.
Day 6: Thursday Dahabiya Sonesta / Luxor
This morning you will sail to Luxor and visit the magnificent temple complex of Amon-Ra at Karnak, with its vast hypostyle hall of 137 columns, followed by the imposing 28th Dynasty Luxor Temple. Overnight moored in Luxor. Overnight moored in Luxor.
Day 7: Friday Dahabiya Sonesta / Luxor
Excursion to the West Bank: to visit the great burial places of the Pharaohs – the Valley of the Kings – where Howard Carter discovered the tomb of Tutankhamen. We continue our 5* Nile cruise with the well-known Valley of the Queens, Medinet Habu Temple and the two Colossi of Memnon.
Day 8: Saturday Dahabiya Sonesta / Disembarkation Breakfast aboard the Dahabiya followed by disembarkation
